We were startled and frightened
by the sign warning of rattlesnakes.
A white sign faded by sunlight
and covered in dust,
a rattlesnake in red agitated only in theory.
Cautious laughter upon seeing this
led to wandering eyes and commentary
Overhearing this, the old lady
walked away laughing.
It's like that here.
